Every company follows particular holiday rules, which is why we gave all of our users pure customization on building out the basics but also adding additional custom holidays for the entire organization.
Creating a Custom Holiday
Step 1
Go to the settings page by clicking the settings button from the left menu at the bottom.
Step 2
Then you want to navigate to the employee section of the sub-menu and select the time off tab. This will navigate you to the page where you can manage different parts of the vacation.
Step 3
Select the add icon next to the holiday title on the far right of your screen.
Step 4
Select create your own holiday.
Step 5
Enter the name of the holiday (the title will be display when notifying the employees and it will appear on their calendar) and then select the date
NOTE: for custom holidays, you will have to create them year after year as they are custom and dates are always changing. So each year you will have to set this up once for the year.
Step 6
Click save and you're all done, it will then appear on your Holiday list
NOTE: The holiday list only shows the holidays in the calendar year, all past years will not appear on the list.
Creating a Holiday from the Search Function
Step 1
Go to the settings page by clicking the settings button from the left menu at the bottom.
Step 2
Then you want to navigate to the employee section of the sub-menu and select the time off tab. This will navigate you to the page where you can manage different parts of the vacation.
Step 3
Select the add icon next to the holiday title on the far right of your screen.
Step 4
Select "Search Holiday" to make the holiday standardized
NOTE: If you select a holiday from the search function, you do not need to reselect it each year, the system automatically updates the calendar for each following year until you remove it as a holiday.
Step 5
Type in the holiday you are looking to add for the company
Step 6
Select the holiday from the list and click save. You are all done, the system will automatically choose the correct date.
